Danielle from Nona’s Homemade Cakes created and designed Christy and Rhys’s chocolate and raspberry cake with chocolate ganache and homemade raspberry jam. The cake was cut and served later in the evening for supper along with tea and coffee.
Shortly after the wedding the newlywed couple flew to Queenstown with Air New Zealand for a 7 night break. This was a first visit for Christy, but Rhys had been several times before on various snowboarding trips. The couple had the experience of dining in amazing vineyards, tasting delicious wines, touring gorgeous countryside towns and added a touch of adventure to their trip by mountain biking too!
When asked if they had any advice to give to couples in the process of planning their wedding Christy and Rhys advised to work on your wedding planning when you feel in love and refreshed by the process. “If it creates tension then stop and start again another time. Stay in love with the process and journey of planning your day!”
