Alun and Sarah became husband and wife on an amazingly sunny day in an outdoor ceremony at the Clovelly Headland, overlooking the sea. Civil celebrant Robyn Pattison conducted the ceremony.
Sarah walked down the aisle on the arm of her father to ‘One Day Like This’ by Elbow. Alun and Sarah exchanged rose gold rings, which were made from Welsh gold, and engraved with the word ‘Cariad’, which means ‘beloved’ in Welsh. They chose this these as Alun is Welsh, and it was a way to include his background and home country in their Australian wedding.
After the wedding ceremony, the celebrations began as the reception moved on to the Clovelly Surf Club, chosen as the couple wanted a very ‘Sydney’ location, and felt the beach side location, laid back vibe and amazing views were ideal.
