Pree wore a beautiful cream and gold traditional Assamese mekhela-chadar, which her mum had picked out for her. She trusted her mum to make the right choice, admitting ‘My mum is more stylish than I am!’
The outfit was made from two pieces of luxurious silk adorned with golden thread and was secured in place by the makeup artist. Pree was given a gold bracelet by her new mother-in-law on the morning of her wedding, and hasn’t taken it off yet! Alongside this, her mum presented her with an ornate gold jewellery set which included a matching necklace, earrings, maang tikka and jhoomar. They were heavy to wear, but they made the bride feel just like an Indian princess.
Pree entered her wedding ceremony on a huge swan shaped golden palki, which her parents had organised as a surprise. It had to be carried by several male family members as it was so heavy!
