Pree and the rest of the women in the wedding party spent the morning before the wedding having mehendi applied. The mehendi application is an intergral part of the Indian bride’s beauty regime, and is also a great way for all of the girls to get together before the wedding.
Pree was adorned with lots of beautifully intricate henna patterns across her arms, hands and feet. Her bridal beauty was completed on the day with a traditional bun, sweeping her hair back so as not to distract from her intricate jewellery and makeup. An Assamese makeup and hair stylist was hired to create the traditional hair and makeup look, and also tied the bride’s mekhela-chadar.
