Ashley honoured his family heritage by wearing traditional Scottish formalwear on his wedding day. The outfit, known as a ‘Prince Charlie’ suit, consisted of a kilt in Gordon dress tartan, a jacket with silver buttons, a smart white shirt and a black bowtie, a plaid sash, and a sporran, with ghillie brogue shoes and a sgian dubh, a traditional knife.
A kilt pin which belonged to Paige’s mum completed the look. For the evening reception, Ashley changed into a more lightweight, less formal outfit, including a Jacobite shirt. His best man wore the same sort of shirt with a different kilt, to ensure the groom stood out.
