The bride arrived at the wedding ceremony, which took place at the historical Newstead House in Brisbane, in a white 1950s Jaguar, and the bridesmaids arrived in a black one. The cars were hired from Kenz Classic car hire.
The couple became husband and wife in a gorgeous ceremony at Newstead House, which has a special meaning to them. Melanie’s Pop used to take her Nanna there on dates years before. The ceremony took place outside in the courtyard and the guests were seated on white, wooden folding chairs, which added to the vintage charm of the house.
The bride was walked down the aisle by both her mum and her dad to a song called ‘Calliope House’, performed by Nocturn string quartet. The celebrant was Melanie’s bridesmaid Kirsty’s father. Snacks were laid out by Tognini’s for guests to pick at as they mingled whilst Melanie and Anthony had photos taken.
