Chantel and Joe had a tower of cupcakes, topped with a traditional cake tier to cut through. The cake was made by Birdsong, their wedding reception venue. The cakes were white chocolate and raspberry flavoured with pink and white icing.
Chantel ordered a custom made cake topper from overseas, which was created to represent her family, and featured the newlyweds in their wedding attire and their two sons.
As they’d already travelled to have their wedding, the couple chose not to go on honeymoon. Instead they spent some time in Port Douglas with their two sons, right by the beach, and enjoyed some quality family time together.
Chantel advises brides not to worry about the small things on their wedding day: “Heaps went wrong on our wedding day but I was so relaxed and anything that didn't go to plan, I was like - oh well minor detail!”
