Christchurch in Dorset was home to Simon’s 94 year old grandfather, and the couple originally picked the location so he could attend the wedding. Sadly, he passed away before the day, but the couple had visited in October and he’d been involved in their wedding plans. He had always wanted to see them get married and was so excited that they were planning their wedding.
Simon and Beth chose the Christchurch Harbour Hotel after viewing it online. As they were both in Sydney, they couldn’t really view venues, so they had to trust the websites. They found the staff really helpful at the Harbour Hotel so decided to book it!
After the ceremony the guests enjoyed canapés before joining the newlyweds for a three course meal, where they introduced the hotel to an ‘alternate drop’ style menu – an Aussie thing they’d never heard of before!
