René and Annick became husband and wife in a traditional church wedding at St Mary’s Church, North Sydney. Annick is Catholic, and René agreed to a traditional Catholic service as he knew how much it meant to her. Before their wedding ceremony, there was a traditional tea ceremony at their apartment.
There was a traditional Mauritian entrance to the church, with the groom accompanying his mother in, before the bride followed with her father to traditional music. The couple tweaked their vows to make them more personal, before lighting a unity candle in a candle ceremony.
The couple exchanged wedding rings bought from Tiffany.
