If you're looking for a destination which is full of ancient tradition, stunning scenery, exotic wildlife and a fantastic climate, then Vanuatu could be just the place to go. With an array of churches and hotel resorts to host your ceremony and an abundance of stunning venues in which to celebrate after you have exchanged your vows, then you can see why weddings in Vanuatu are so popular amongst Australians.
The Government likes you to spend a minimum of 3 days in Vanuatu prior to the date of your wedding which gives you time to finalise your papers and meet with your wedding co-ordinator. A month before your wedding you will need to file a completed Certificate of Intended Marriage together with copies of both passports and birth certificates. These can be scanned or faxed. When you arrive, the Certificate of Intended Marriage will need to be witnessed by 2 guests. Catholic weddings can also be organised and you will need a Letter of Freedom. Also your priest will need to talk with the priest in Port Vila. Generally weddings are not held on Sundays or holidays. For more information visit http://www.smartraveller.gov.au/marriage_os.html
