Bahrain Overview

The Eastern and Western cultures combine, making the green oasis of Bahrain a country of contrasts. Modern high rise buildings compete for space with the traditional dwellings. Prepare for a truly Middle Eastern experience with the ancient burial mounds, temples and historic forts. However, in contrast, take time out and enjoy Bahrain’s lush beach resorts and tasty cuisine at stylish restaurants. Located at the north-eastern tip of the island is the modern capital city of Manama, still holding on to some heritage with the historic museums, a vibrant souk and gigantic mosque.
