My Favourite Picks From The New Claire Pettibone Collection

by rima@hitched

Wedding dresses should be romantic, intimate and detailed and one designer who does this so well is Claire Pettibone.

Her new collection, Romantique California Dreamin’ was inspired by her hometown of Los Angeles and if this is how brides rock their wedding day look in LA, I only have one thing to say, get me there now!

There is not one dress in this collection which isn’t covered with detail and as hard as it was, I have chosen my five favourites to show you.

I am a firm believer in that the back of the dress is just as important as the front, and who could possibly disagree with me when it comes to this dress? The triangular cut-out and lace pattern are so pretty and do the dress such justice. I love the heavy lace which covers the gown and long sleeves are always a winner in my eyes.

Boho brides will fall at their feet for this festival fitting wedding dress which is just everything you could wish for and more.  My favourite detail, apart from the gorgeous back of course, is the side split and train. The lace works perfectly with the whole design and I love the tassels on the neck-tie, they are such a nice touch.

Santa Monica

I adore this dress, it’s just so pretty and the neckline is very feminine which to me, is an important quality for a wedding dress to have. The thin and dainty straps matched with the love heart shaped back detail are a really romantic detail to add. I am seriously considering buying this dress just to wear around my house!

The detail on this gown is absolutely exquisite, especially at the back of the dress. The lace pattern is so elegant and I love how the sheer material is used to create illusion. This is a dress worthy of royalty and needs to be worn with bags of confidence for a killer bridal look.

Heavy crochet isn’t usually seen in bridal, but because of this dress, I think it should be done a lot more. The thick pattern is modern and has a young, festival feel to it. Some floral hair accessories and boho bangles would look amazing with this chic wedding outfit. Modern brides who want a more casual look would stun guests in this fabulous dress.

Who else wants to run away to Los Angeles and wear lots of Claire Pettibone dresses with me?
