pick some to present to you in a ‘getting to know you’ feature!

Tell us a little
bit about yourself; how you got started, what you do etc.
name is Aly, I'm a mum to two gorgeous boys, who are my muses. My business is
named after them, as I wanted a very 'me' name - 'Kuya' means older brother and
Bunso means younger brother in Tagalog, which is the language of The
Philippines, where I was born.
My Boutique Portrait Studio is located in a heritage listed building in
Brisbane, with lots of personality and character and is inspiring and unique.
celebrate life, and specialise in weddings, birth photography, newborn
portraiture and a range of other portrait sessions.
What can a couple expect if he chooses
to hire/commission/work with you?
can expect that they won't feel like I'm just their photographer, but there for
them. My priority is to not only get those images they want, but to make them
feel relaxed and as stress free as possible on their already highly emotional
day. I take the honour of being the photographer seriously, and consider it one
of the highest compliments to be able to witness and capture those special
moments like when a father first sees his daughter in her wedding gown, when
the groom first lays his eyes on his bride as she's walking towards her future

inspires me. I believe real life, raw emotion and genuine interactions are
What’s the best thing about your job?
best thing about my job to me is the privilege of being able to immortalize
other people’s memories.
Describe your perfect weekend…
perfect weekend is camping in our camper trailer with my family! A gorgeous
sunset and sunrise, a warm fire, a clear sky, and understanding just how lucky
I am to be alive, healthy and blessed to witness the growth and development of
two little men.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Popcorn and a Sour Apple Slurpee.
