A Glittering Great Gatsby Affair

by zoe@hitched

hitched.com.au’s Business Development Manager, Belinda Andresson, went along to a pretty spectacular event last week!

You may remember my recent blog about the Dockside Group’s glamorous Great Gatsby event. Belinda was lucky enough to attend, and report back…

“The amazing event was hosted across three of the Dockside Group’s venues, L’Aqua, Dockside and Star Room, where all of the rooms were set up to give the couples an idea of what each venue could offer. The whole event followed a glittering and decadent Great Gatsby theme, which included crystal candelabras and mirror centrepieces, decorated with feathers, pearls and floral arrangements straight from the 1920s”.

L’Aqua and Dockside primarily featured photographers (including photo booths), stationery suppliers, florists, bridalwear including gowns and headpieces and some amazing ice sculptures. Belinda set to work meeting the best the wedding industry had to offer, and snapping their wares so we could share them with you!

Best Buds are florists who created a glamorous floral display at the entrance of the Dockside Venue, featuring garlands of flowers wrapped around a birdcage for an exotic twist on a classic look”.

Art of Sculptures created breath taking ice displays – a real talking point at any wedding”.

Viktoria Novak displayed a beautiful selection of handmade and bespoke bridal headpieces”.

Sparkle Cupcakery showcased a delectable range of cakes and cupcakes all decorated in accordance to the Great Gatsby theme”.

Crystalize Couture were on hand to embellish with Swarovski crystals – they can add bling to almost anything!”

Casa Del displayed a selection of mouth-watering cakes, with classic styles alongside decadent 1920s wonders!”

“At 8pm on Friday night we were treated to a fashion parade by Savvy Brides”.

Then Belinda headed over to the Star Room for a display that featured mostly cakes, bomboniere and other sweet treats!

Doy’s Cakes presented wonderful wedding cakes ideal for a 1920s inspired wedding”.

“Bomboniere and other delicious goodies were presented by La Vie En Rose, in the form of potted succulents, boxed chocolates and fondant covered Italian honey bread biscuits. Sweet Pea Treats and Events, who are yet to set up a website, also provided an amazing dessert buffet with an on-trend yellow, black and grey colour scheme!”

How amazing must this have been to attend? Are you planning a Gatsby inspired wedding?
