Wedding Wow Factor

Little things to make your wedding reception stand out

Everyone wants their wedding to stand out and be remembered by those who attend it. To do this you must plan ahead to include a few wow factors to stun your guests on your big day.

Firstly, consider your wedding dress. If you have a certain style, guests may expect you to conform to that with your dress. Surprise them by going for something totally different like a large, sparkly ball gown or a sleek and slinky Grecian wonder. You could even consider a brightly colored dress, or a pair of statement shoes to contrast with your gown.

After the ceremony the guests spend a considerable amount of time waiting whilst you and your new husband pose for photographs. To entertain them, you could arrange for a magician to perform tricks, or for a pianist to play a set. Provide cocktails or glasses of champagne with special hibiscus flowers in, which will slowly unfurl and release a delicious raspberry flavor into the glass, wowing your guests.

When booking the evening entertainment, shop around and hear the sets of a lot of different bands and DJs so you can be sure of who will provide the best entertainment. Keep your guests guessing about what you have arranged to keep that element of surprise.

A chocolate fountain or candy buffet can provide a great talking point and will delight sweet-toothed guests considerably. Team these treats with old fashioned party games to add a retro twist to your evening; who wouldn’t enjoy a tipsy game of musical statues or giant Jenga?

As long as you are attentive to your guests, and the drinks keep flowing and the music doesn’t stop, people will leave on a high and will be complimenting you on your amazing wedding party for the foreseeable future!
