Cake topper ideas

A cake topper is a cute and fun way to add some personality to a wedding cake, and it also makes for a great wedding keepsake. You can go for a traditional bride and groom figure, but if you’d prefer something a little more outlandish, we’ve got a few suggestions for you.
You could add a fairy castle to your top tier, particularly if you want to feel like a princess on your big day. You can customize it with glitter and ribbons to match your theme. If you want a vintage, art deco vibe, you could add glamorous feathers and diamantes to top off your cake.
Be inspired by yours and your husband’s interests. A biker couple could hunt for something featuring a mini motorcycle, or if you’re keen musicians then incorporate something to do with your chosen instruments on your cake topper. Animal lovers could have models of their favorite pets, or for the truly creative, you could aim to recreate a special location to you and your partner, such as Sydney Opera House or the Eiffel Tower.
A beach wedding could feature a cake that is topped by shells, whilst a Christmas wedding cake could be topped by a miniature Mr. and Mrs. Clause.
If you want something totally different to the traditional couple, you could opt for fresh fruit, which is a great idea for a summer wedding, or flowers for an elegant, classic look.
Get really creative and make something with your future husband out of clay or royal icing. It’ll be extra special because the two of you made it together, and if you choose to make it out of clay, it can become a future heirloom to be passed down through your family!
