Take care of your skin

Over-exposure to the sun’s rays can do a lot of damage to your skin. It is therefore really important to have a skincare regime in place to protect your skin and to keep it healthy. No one wants to have to deal with wrinkles, pigmentation or, at worst, skin cancer, and this can be avoided by looking after your skin.

Every bride wants beautiful and radiant skin on her wedding day, and there are lots of ways to achieve this.

Stay Hydrated!

By drinking plenty of water, you will keep your skin hydrated and fresh. It’s recommended that we drink eight glasses of water a day, which helps to plump up skin, filling in fine lines to keep it looking youthful.

Stop Smoking!

It’s important, especially if you love being outdoors in the heat, to keep hydrated for health reasons too. If you’re a smoker, to make sure your skin looks as perfect and youthful as possible you need to cut out the cancer sticks. As well as the life-threatening effects puffing away can have, smoking also dehydrates your skin, causes wrinkles and can give skin a yellow tinge.

Moisturise Regularly!

Moisturizing twice a day will also help to keep skin fresh and smooth. Just make sure you avoid overly perfumed creams if you have sensitive skin, and to not go overboard if your skin tends to be a bit oily. Try lots of different creams to find out what works for you.

Mixing your foundation with a bit of moisturizer will make it last longer and will do your skin a lot of favors!

Protect Your Skin!

Even if you think your skin is totally resilient and you never burn, you should always use a good sun cream. You can buy moisturizers and foundations with a built in SPF, or apply your own as a base. Even if it looks cloudy, the sun’s UV rays can filter through and cause irreversible damage to your skin. This will help prevent wrinkles and keep you looking youthful for longer!

Cleanse!

To keep skin clear and spot-free, it’s crucial to cleanse before you apply makeup or lotion. Using a good cleanser and exfoliating regularly helps to minimize the appearance of blackheads and avoid build-up.

Sleep!

Other ways to ensure you have a glowing complexion include getting a good night’s sleep — eight hours of sleep will reduce dark circles and make skin appear brighter, and to get plenty of exercise and fresh air. Walks by the sea or in the countryside will help bring a natural glow to your face, making you appear more youthful.
