The rainy season in Zambia is said to be December through to March, however by April and May most of the rain has passed leaving June, July and August pleasant during the day but could be cooler during the evenings. September and October can get extremely hot, leaving November a bit of an in between month – where you could see both warmer and cooler climates.

KLM, Air France and Ethiopian Airlines travel from the UK with one stop or two stops en-route to Lusaka several times a week. South African Airlines also travel from London through to Johannesburg where you can then get a hop over flight to Lusaka directly.

Marriage Requirements


You will require various documentation in order to process your marriage in Zambia. Any person wishing to get married in Zambia must complete Affidavits and Notice of Marriage forms which are available from the Civic Centre in Lusaka. The completed forms must be submitted to the Local Government Administrator's Office at the Civic Centre where a Certificate of No Impediment (CNI) will be issued for production to the person who is to solemnize the marriage. Both parties will be required to produce their original birth certificates. It normally takes 3 weeks to process a CNI and costs K 50,000.
