If you're looking for a destination to get married that encompasses a vibrant mix of culture and a diversity of landscapes, then why not consider Kenya. Being split in half by the equator, weddings abroad in Kenya offer couples an exciting mixture of tropical beach ceremony followed by a safari honeymoon. With plenty of venues in which to get married including traditional churches, white powder sand beaches, wildlife parks and even mountain slopes, there's something to suit every couple in Kenya and with plenty of adventures to be had, it's the perfect destination for a honeymoon as well.
It's quite easy to get married in Kenya and as long as you have the proper licence you can get married almost anywhere. Couples need to notify both the Registrar's Office and the Church in which they want to get married at least 21 days prior to their wedding and get a Special Licence from the registrar in order for their wedding to be recognised under the Marriage Act. You will also need this licence if you want a civil service anywhere other than a registry office. Documents you need to bring are valid passports, tourist visas, and birth certificates. You'll also need sworn statements of your marital status and divorce/death papers if applicable. For more information visit http://www.kenya-advisor.com/wedding-kenya.htm
