Weddings abroad in Cambodia are gaining popularity as more people are discovering the delights of this lovely country. Located in the middle of South East Asia, Cambodia has a stunning south coast full of gorgeous beaches, and spectacular mountains and rain forest in the South West. With a myriad of historical sites to visit, delectable cuisine, and warm, welcoming people, it also makes for a great honeymoon location too. With plenty of hotels and resorts in which to hold your ceremony and host a celebratory party afterwards, your special day will be truly memorable.
A couple need to reside for 21 continuous days in Cambodia before they can begin their wedding application. An affidavit is required which can be obtained from the couple's country's embassy in Phnom Penh. The Notice of Marriage will be displayed for 21 days before a certificate of non impediment is released. The couple then have to write to the Ministry of Affairs in the Capital for permission to marry. Once this has been considered the couple's local town hall of where they reside will be notified and a Marriage Certificate issued. The couple will need to take this and their other documents to their place of marriage. Documents include valid 10 year passports and photocopies showing a Cambodian visa, certificate of no impediment, medical certificate, details of professions and monthly income. If they have been divorced or widowed, then documents to this effect also. For more information visit http://www.marryabroad.co.uk/how-to-marry-in-cambodia.shtml
