Getting Married in Barbados

If you're looking for a tropical paradise in which to hold your wedding ceremony then why not consider Barbados. With more than 70 miles of beaches and a diverse range of stunning countryside, weddings abroad in Barbados cater for even the most discerning of couples. There's a number of beautiful old churches in which to hold your ceremony, or, if you fancy something a little different, you can even get married in a rainforest or botanical garden. There's also a myriad of stunning locations and in a place where every spot is perfect, your only dilemma is choosing one.

Marriage Requirements


Barbados is a very easy place in which to get married and with no specified residing time you can get married as soon after you step on the island as you like. The law requires that both parties visit the offices of the Ministry of Home Affairs to apply for a Wedding Licence and you will both need to take valid passports, original birth certificates and both your incoming and outgoing plane tickets.
